Appointments

-Clients will receive a COVID screening and a health intake form via email at the time of scheduling. It is best to have both forms filled out and submitted before your massage to guarantee a full session. Clients are asked to provide the massage therapist of any past and existing health conditions by listing them on the health intake or verbally.

-Aura Massage strives to provide each client with their full session time. If you are behind schedule please call the massage therapist as the massage may be shortened.

-Any client who is under the age of 18 and is receiving treatment will require a signature from their parent/guardian on the day of their appointment.

COVID-19 Policies

To ensure the safety & well-being of each client receiving treatment at Aura Massage all regulations and guidelines set forth by the CDC and CT Department of Public Health are strictly being followed.

Below is a list of protocols for before, during, and after treatment.

-A COVID-19 screening form is emailed to each client at the time of booking and is to be filled out before their scheduled appointment.

-The Massage Therapist will take the clients temperature upon arrival. In the case of a fever the client will be asked to re-book for a later date.

-Clients are asked to either sanitize or wash their hands before their session begins.

-While in the prone position (face down), a safe and approved method called "the hammock" or "face cradle mask" is used. This allows clients to remove their mask, breathe freely, and remain protected. A disposable cover is placed over the face cradle and then draped with a pillow case in order to create a pocket like space to catch aerosols or droplets that may release while lying face down. Please note that removing your face ask is optional and not mandatory.

-Before turning to the supine position (face up) clients that removed their masks are asked to reapply covering the nose and mouth.

-The massage room is thoroughly sanitized. This includes the face cradle, bolster, waterproof barrier on the table, stool, door handles, and all surfaces.

-Massage cream is dispensed into a disposable cup for the session and is specific to each client.

-Clean linens are provided for each client along with a new disposable face cradle cover.
